@Am_Yisroel_Chai So you mean to say: eventually people will respect you for sticking to your values and principles, if there's a singular objective morality and your values & principles align with those. That's pretty heavy, because would mean there's 1 group of ppl that have everyone's respect.

@Am_Yisroel_Chai If I do believe in an objective morality and stick to the morals and principles I believe to be objective, will I earn the respect of people who don't share those values? How about people who do share them but don't believe in an objective morality?

@Am_Yisroel_Chai Then yes, sticking to behavior that specific people find morally correct will result in your earning respect from those people. Like Hitler.

@minhagim Contractors bribe officials to give their companies fake jobs. Common in big cities.

NYC hired a private subcontractor to replace some sidewalk on my block. My wife asks them why they are replacing a perfectly good square of concrete while the two adjacent ones actually need repair. He sighs and says I know I know but the work order is for this one. 🤦🏻‍♂️
