This unexpected paper on the epigenetics of plant aging brought my day a lot of joy. Evidence that epigenetic changes could be more of a consequence rather than a cause of aging!

Paspalum is a grass so stress tolerant it was picked as the official turf of the world cup in Qatar. A very stressful environment. Today we're publishing the paspalum genome. A crop wild relative that may teach maize (corn) to grow with less fertilizer. nature.com/articles/s4146…
