انطلقت الجلسة الثانية ضمن فعاليات #الملتقى_الأول_لأبحاث_الإعاقة تحت عنوان “الجرأة في مواجهة التحديات من الإعاقة إلى الريادة”، وأدارتها الدكتورة أمل الجاسر، عميدة معهد اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية. وشارك في الجلسة كل من الدكتورة سواتي كيران، مديرة مركز استعادة الدماغ بجامعة بوسطن، والأستاذ الدكتور ماجد الفضل ، نائب المدير التنفيذي في مركز الملك عبدالله العالمي للأبحاث الطبية (كيمارك)، والدكتور سلمان الجارالله، أستاذ واستشاري الأعصاب بجامعة الملك سعود. وتناولت الجلسة أبرز المستجدات في مجالات الإعاقة العصبية والوراثية ودور الذكاء الاصطناعي في التشخيص والعلاج، كما ناقشت التوجهات المستقبلية للأبحاث التي تسهم في تمكين الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتحسين جودة حياتهم من خلال التكامل بين الطب والتقنية والابتكار العلمي.
