A rally to show solidarity with Iran as well as Lebanon, Palestine, Cuba and Venezuela took place in Belfast on Saturday. Organised by the group Stop the War, hundreds of protestors marched from Queen’s University Belfast to the US Consulate. Peace campaigner Mairead Maguire addressed the crowd at the Consulate, her impassioned words met with cheers.

Streets of Havana right now. Full blackout across the entire island. Hospitals, nursing homes, people's lives....all in total darkness. For US imperialism.

In January 2024, Palantir signed a contract with the Israeli military to use its technology in support of “war-related missions.” Palantir has a deep relationship with US law enforcement. It supplies ICE with tools that can be used to surveil and target migrants in the US. Now, that same company is working at the heart of our NHS. Palantir has already received £330 million of our money for its contract with our NHS England. Healthworkers and patients have been ringing the alarm for years: this is not right. Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

As Israel tries to murder another British journalist we must remember they are the biggest War Criminal on the planet, and it is not just Genocide. They have murdered more journalists in 3 years than the rest of the planet combined have killed in 87 years.
