This is SOOOO WRONG! A North Carolina high school track team disqualified after winning the state championship in the 4 x 400m relay. Why? The teenage runner raises his arm as he crosses the finishing line in an exciting, emotional, lifetime-remembering moment! ... & the official ruled it was unsportsmanlike! ... The official should be disqualified and not invited back again! #NorthCarolina #TrackandField @MallardCreekHS @MallardCreekHS @Creek_AP
Robert Griffin III@RGIII

A High School was ROBBED of a State Championship The Mallard Creek boys track and field team was disqualified for taunting because Ngannou Brown raised his hand before crossing the line to win the 4x400m relay. THIS ISN’T TAUNTING OR UNSPORSTMANLIKE

So sad the shooting of innocent people at the mosque in San Diego today. Thank God for the quick & professional response by San Diego first responders. God Bless the security guard who sacrificed his life for protection of all the innocent children & adults in the area. An elementary school is located right next to the mosque & a high school within walking distance. ...Prayers too for the parents of the 2 teenage suspects who have committed suicide. Reports indicate the parents are cooperating with law enforcement. I was merely 3 miles away from the site when the tragic incident occurred. #SanDiego #Mosque #FirstResponders

I was out pumping gas this evening at cheapest local gas station I could find ($5.79/gallon) when @CBS8 San Diego reporter @AlexLaiTV & her camera crew began interviewing me about how I felt about current gas prices. Off the cuff I said: 'I obviously don't like current gas prices but its a price worth paying for the elimination of a terrorist regime although the outcome & time frame of their elimination is uncertain.' In retrospect, I should have also singled out California's / Newsom's ridiculous prices in comparison to the rest of the nation. I want to thank Alex Lai & her crew for giving me the time & attention. We'll see if it airs this evening! #cbs #sandiego #gasprices #oilprices @realDonaldTrump #California

My seemingly healthy, strong father Daniel “Dad Timpf” Timpf died very unexpectedly on the evening of May 7 at just 69 years old.   It does not seem like enough to simply call him my father, because he was so much more than that. He was my rock, my hero and my best friend. He was loyal, funny, kind, selfless, hard-working, and so devoted to his children that it was impossible to be near him and not find yourself inspired. He was a writer, a painter, a sailor, and somehow knowledgeable on every subject from world history to literature to accounting. He was the most dependable person anyone has ever met. I always felt like, as long as I had his phone number, there was not a problem I could not solve. I needed him here with me; I am not okay, and I am far from the only person who feels this.   The birth of my son in February 2025, his first grandchild, was supposed to be a happy new beginning for our family. A family that had been already once devastated by an untimely loss: the loss of my mother Anne Marie to a rare disease in 2014 just a matter of weeks after her diagnosis.   The joy of my son’s birth was, of course, complicated by my also very unexpected breast cancer diagnosis just a matter of hours before going into labor with him. During this time, my dad did what he did best, which was to save the day. As soon as he heard about my diagnosis, he simply got into the car and started driving to New York -- making it through the tunnel just as my  son was born…on the day that happened to be his own birthday, as well.   In the tumultuous time of a simultaneous new cancer diagnosis and new baby, my dad was the sole reason for our stability, rushing in to help care for our son, and returning to do so again for my double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and any time that we ever needed him. It was an awful, awful year… but I found so much joy and hope throughout it by watching the beauty of a very special relationship form between my son and my father. This horrible thing that was happening was creating such a very special bond between the two of them -- almost making the terrible thing worth it -- and I was so excited to see how that bond would grow.   The bond was of top priority for my father, who visited from Michigan often. I saw him last on the Monday before he died, and my son was so proud to help his grandfather push his suitcase down to the car as he left. The goodbyes were quick. Why wouldn’t they be? We would all see each other again at the beginning of June, when we would all head to Texas for my shows and to see my grandpa. We wanted to make sure that my son could spend as much time as he could with his great-grandfather. He is, after all, 93.   I was certainly not over the trauma of my cancer or having to amputate the breasts I so badly wanted to feed my son with, but the one thing I could always count on to get me through my worst moments was seeing my son’s and my father’s faces light up when they saw each other, be it during the visits or our routine morning and bedtime FaceTime calls.   That is, at least, until I had to hear over the phone from a doctor I had never met in an emergency room in the same town up north that I’d previously announced to my father that I was pregnant that my dad was dead; I would never see him again, and neither would my son. It would turn out that last year was not the hard one, after all. Rather, it was the one I would now do anything to relive. I would amputate my breasts every year just to be able to speak with him one more time, even for five minutes.   I am currently living an unimaginable horror. For many people, this is a tragic story. For me, it’s my life. I do not know how I will recover from it. I only know that I have to for the sake of what is left of my family.

Institutional capture works the same way every time. Activists are credentialed by ideologically captured institutions. Placed inside the institutions they’re meant to reform. Then they use their position to circumvent process in favor of predetermined outcomes. Academia did it first. Media followed. Then corporate HR. The federal bureaucracy. The Catholic Church. The federal judiciary. The newest US bishop calls opposition to DEI “un-American, un-Christian, and anti-Catholic.” This judge is the pipeline & her ruling is the proof.
Bill Melugin@BillMelugin_

NEW: I’m told by federal sources that a Dominican illegal alien with a deportation order & an Interpol Red Notice arrest warrant for murder in his home county was ordered released from ICE custody on Tuesday by Rhode Island federal judge Melissa DuBose (Biden appointee). I’m told that international fugitive Bryan Rafael Gomez was arrested by ICE Boston in Worcester, MA on April 4th, and had been detained in a facility in Rhode Island where he was issued a deportation order on April 28th by an immigration judge. On Tuesday, I’m told Judge DuBose ordered Gomez be released from ICE custody on the grounds of “continuous unlawful detention”, while ICE argued that Gomez was subject to mandatory detention due to having an international arrest warrant for homicide. I’m told Gomez was released, is now roaming freely again, and ICE can’t rearrest him due to Judge DuBose’s order. He was caught and released at the southern border by the Biden administration in 2022.

There’s already plenty of noise in this culture. What people need now is not more shouting. They need clarity. They need courage. They need voices willing to speak plainly, lovingly, and truthfully. Clear voices help people find their footing again. #Clarity #SpeakTruth #FaithAndCulture #AlvedaKing

We should never accept the false idea that we have to choose between loving a mother and protecting her child. We can care for both. We should care for both. And deep down, most people know that’s true. Compassion and truth do not compete with one another. They belong together. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Same system, full circle. Academia produces the worldview. The media launders it. The administrative state operationalizes it. The Dem Party weaponizes it. Then a “journalist” quotes the shooter’s manifesto and asks Trump to answer for its premise. That’s the loop: institutions create the moral frame, radicals act on it, and media feeds the frame back into politics.
Ryan Saavedra@RyanSaavedra

Look at how nasty Norah O'Donnell is toward Trump She reads the manifesto and asks for his reaction to it Trump responds: "Yeah, [the gunman] did write that. I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody." O'Donnell: "Oh do you think he was referring to you?" She tries to act surprised that Trump knows the gunman was referring to him and tries to play it off as some sort of gotcha moment, a "oh, well he didn't name you but if you acknowledge that he was talking about you then you must have a guilty conscience over those things" moment Utterly disgraceful BS. CBS should fire her, something they should have done years ago.

This wouldn’t happen today. Rick Monday would save the flag, the league would issue a statement, the news would call it “polarizing,” and ESPN would host a panel on whether the flag deserved it. The flag burners didn’t win the argument, they captured the institutions.

The WHCA alleged shooter wasn’t some nut job lurking on the fringes of society, forgotten by the system. He was well-educated, credentialed, employed, and institutionally formed. That’s what makes this so disturbing. At first glance, this doesn’t look like a breakdown of the system, it looks more like a product of it. Academia, media, and politics helped build the moral permission structure. Let that sink in.

I attended the same school as the alleged WHCA shooter — @DominguezHills. A decade before him & different department. But same institution. Fall 2013. Poly sci paper arguing America was uniquely tolerant because of federalism, assimilation, and ordered liberty. The professor called it a “rant” and gave me a 50. I was furious and had no recourse. A sympathetic faculty member told me so. The grade wasn’t one professor — it was the institution itself. Next assignment: write how Obamacare would lower medical costs. I knew it wouldn’t. I wrote it anyway. Very next semester I changed my major to economics and transferred to @CSULB. At least econ had to deal with incentives, trade-offs, and reality. But the political science department there was worse. I learned quickly that academia is not interested in teaching you how to think, instead they teach you what to think.

We can be surrounded by people, messages, and noise all day long and still feel deeply alone. That tells me something important. Connection is not the same thing as belonging. Being seen is not the same as being known. Real belonging comes from truth, trust, and relationships rooted in something deeper than a screen. #Belonging #FaithAndCulture #AlvedaKing
