We’re this happy to be crossing 60°S and getting our metal-free towfish in the water to collect surface water for trace metal analysis! The towfish is connected to over 50m of tubing and feeds straight into our clean lab onboard the #SDA! Pretty darn cool! #SDAScience

First sediment cores arrived yesterday in the lab for porewater sampling. We'll be looking at nutrients, trace metals, radium and mercury from the seafloor under 2464m of ocean. #NIOZMetalGate21 #RaCeTraX #fieldworkfriday
