All the ppl responding with how they work so much more as attendings than in training…. I’m sad for you because you… don’t have to. No one is making you. As a doctor you have so much control over how much you decide to work if you’re willing to give up some of the pay.

I just finished my last ever block of internal medicine wards, and I bought a bottle of wine to celebrate with a couple days ago. I’m now laying in bed and too lazy to get myself a glass, and honestly that about describes internal medicine 😅

@blossomsccherry US medical resident rotate through multiple different specialties for experience, knowledge, understanding. I am a Neurologt resident and have done internal medicine, ICU, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine clinic, psychiatry, etc

need someone who understands the us medical system to explain why the er residents in the pitt apparently do icu rotations 😭 i don't really get it

Stockholm syndrome in residency is so real… I was telling someone how grateful I am that we get 4 days off a year for “wellness” aka when I schedule all of my doctors appointments. FOUR DAYS

🚨 This is very important 🚨 Graduating med students w/ debt - You MUST e-file your 2025 tax return. NOT a paper return. An ELECTRONICALLY FILED TAX RETURN. Doesn’t matter if you didn’t make any money last year. You should and CAN do so (don’t let your dad’s accountant or the employee at H&R Block brush you off). Best bet is to use @FreeTaxUSA Your intern year’s loan payments being as low as possible depend on you doing this!!!

@ntradsteminist I threatened to send another attending’s medical students home this weekend myself if he wasn’t going to. Yes I worked nights as a medical students. Yes I worked long hours. Yes I don’t mind what I went through, but there comes a point where our students need REST

Remember the discourse last year about night shifts? Well let’s discuss making medical students do a 24 with only one day off during the week when the rest of the days are 12 hour shifts because I really don’t want to do this tomorrow and drive an hour 15 home Monday 😭😭😭
