Obsessed with the new display our EdTech assistant teacher just put up in our Mini Makerspace - cardboard tricks AND makedo all in one!

The other day I had a guest from another school visit and say “we’re just getting some stickers printed based on the design by @edTechEvans” to which I replied “SO ARE WE!!” Anyway, pleased to announce they finally arrived and they look slammin’!!

@desertclimber For sure, I’ve already sent them an email to say I have draft applications from the past three years to compare it to… extra annoying when this was the year I finally got out of drafting and just applied 😂

@ameliaktech That is really frustrating. Another example of how AI detection doesn’t work. I hope you can dispute this.

My #MIEE application got rejected because they said they detected AI in my answer… very curious to know what tool they’re using to detect, as no AI used here! Anyone else with the same issue?

Welcome to the 24025 school year! First day activity in Robotics and Design: Draw a rough blueprint of a stable tall building. I surprised them, and asked them to exchange drawings. Now, see if you can recreate that design from LEGOs? @ISBangkok @LEGO_Education #design

So with Padlet upping their pricing to almost 5x what we have been charged for the past four years, does anyone have any alternatives that I could trial this year? Thinking of testing FigJam but worried it'll be too complex for our younger learners. Thoughts welcome! #EdTech

@gianfrancocont9 I’d be interested to know if there’s more recent research, as kids growing up with tech in the 2000s had a very different experience to the iPad kids of today!

Very interesting points about the 6 unique traits of young learners who grow up with technology - from Prensky (2001) - which differ from older generations. These changes in cognitive style must be taken into consideration by L2 curriculum designers and teachers.
