That is a good start, young man. 5 years from today, you will be proud of the journey. Keep going!

Listening to @amerix has really misled me. My biggest regret is I wish I would have started earlier. Thank you Doc!

Advise someone once, Remind him the second time, Mention it the third time, If they continue with their mess, leave them alone. Just observe, Let them drown in their own mess. Then when they drown, and they seek your help, don't offer to help, you will drown with them.

When someone endlessly insults you, it is not you who is the problem. It is him diverting bitterness from his miserable life. He looks for anything that can accommodate his rants. He wants you to be bitter with yourself, just like him. Keep such people out of your life.

Political leaders should be amiable, NOT angry, vengeful, visibly enraged, emotionally wrathful, and bitter. In a world where people are living through pain and hopelessness, only politicians who speak with grace, hope, stoicism and an affable tone will be embraced.

We have already made our decision on the new Speaker (a man). Men were born to lead. That's the natural order of things.

The world is changing. There is a silent seismic shift happening around the globe. Global financial and tech systems are being dismantled from the grip of powerful unelected institutions like the EU, IMF and WORLD BANK. Political power, military manipulation, medical influence and economic hegemony that have hitherto been unilaterally controlled inside unelected bureaucracies like the UN, WHO, NATO and NGOs are being dismantled. The biggest win was the collapse of NGO donors. Pay attention.

Why can't access to your business documents on eCitizen be just a simple "click and download" process? Why should it be a difficult, convoluted process?

In 2006, I was a lecturer at the Kenya Medical Training College in Nakuru. I was lecturing in the department of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, I taught Pharmacology and Parasitology (1st Years) and Pathology (2nd Years), I was also supervising 3rd Years, Internal Medicine rotation in PGH Nyayo Ward lectured by Dr Babu Bora(RIP), and mentoring interns in the wards. Dr Murwa Muteshi was my immediate mentor. My exams were probing critical thinking, and I didn't entertain reckless ward lessons. For example, I would set a True/False question: " Among the following, which one causes inflammation?" • Tight-fitting pants • Hot water • Indomethacin • None of the above They would all struggle to answer this kind of question. I demanded orderly history taking, properly documented physical examination and a sensible, structured clinical discussion during ward rotations. I was an avid reader of Dr Sir William Osler, and would recite one of his quotes to my students, "Medicine is learned by the bedside and not in the classroom. Let not your concepts of the manifestations of disease come from words heard in the lecture room or read from the book." The HOD warned me that I am stressing these students by not setting straightforward questions from the curriculum and demanding clean ward presentations. I would tell him that students of medicine must be critical thinkers otherwise they would mismanage patients including your grandmother back in the village. The HOD looked at me, called Afya House to talk to Dr Kimani who was the DMS. That is how I was transferred from Nakuru to become a founding teacher of Kenya Medical Training College, Webuye. That was 20 years ago!

@amerix @JoelJirane Colleges, some, are better. The University is where real puppetry is hiding. Lectures are all theory, the practical aspect is under utilized. Exam stealing and lack of discipline has eroded all the quality.

When 2026 started, I told you, my followers that, 2026 is our year of SILENCE. If you are my follower, this is the year for you to execute in silence. Keep your mouth shut. Keep your small achievements silent. Let the rest shout as much as they want, and when your results show up, they will coil back into their miserable cocoons. So, work. Work, my father, Work, my brother, Work, my friend, Work, my son, Work, my sister, Work! Work in silence. That is the only thing that will get us out of poverty, ignorance and diseases. At the end of 2026, we shall know who was swimming naked.
