The $QUBIC Burn mechanism and smart contract IPOs for Dummies: Imagine you have a computer network called the Qubic Network. People can make smart contracts on this network, which are like computer programs that do things automatically. But before they can make a smart contract, the smart contract maker needs to get approval from most of the computers in the network. Computers are like different workers and parts of the network, which make sure that the whole network works smoothly and in a safer manner. Once the computers agree, the smart contract maker can start a special event called an IPO. During this event, people give money (called $QUBIC tokens) to the smart contract. But this money can only be used to make the smart contract work, like filling your car up with gas. The computers in the network decide how much money should be used each time the smart contract does something. As the smart contract gets used, the money in its "piggy bank" (called the Execution Pool) starts to run out. When that happens, the smart contract creator and the people who gave money initially must put more money into the piggy bank to keep the smart contract running. Here's the tricky part: the money you put back in the piggy bank can't be taken out. It's like putting money into a magic box that disappears forever. This is what we mean by "burned." The amount of money burned at the start and how fast the piggy bank runs out depends on how many people are interested in the smart contract and how much it's used. The @_Qubic_ team is working hard to finish the development of the smart contract and soon, developers and users will be able to create and use smart contracts on the Qubic Network. It's like a new playground for computer games, and it will be exciting to see what games people come up with and offer as a smart contract.
