The Special Election in GA-14 to replace me in Congress is underway. I’ve heard a potential Republican candidate say “I’m not going to be like MTG”, here’s what that means. I was one of only 4 Republicans that signed my name on a discharge petition to force the House to vote on a bill to force the administration to release the Epstein files on behalf of the woman who were raped as teenagers, victimized, and trafficked to rich powerful men. This is what caused Trump to call me a traitor and I still refused to backdown because I will stand with victims of rape against anyone even the very man I helped and fought for to become President. So if you’re saying you won’t be like me, are you saying you will just be a “yes man” to the President even when it comes down to covering up crimes of raping underage girls and protecting the elites? My district office has literally one of the best track records for helping our constituents and constituent work is what I prized on being one of the most important things my job required. So are you saying you won’t be like me and help veterans, seniors, and constituents in need? Because that’s what I did. I also believe in the Appropriations process and diligently worked to ensure district funding requests were included in House Appropriation bills so that my district could see their hard earned tax dollars come back home to help their own communities. So if you aren’t saying you won’t be like me, are you saying you won’t help the tax payers in the district receive desperately needed appropriations requests? I forced the Republican controlled House to impeach Mayorkas by forcing the House to vote on my articles of impeachment with a privileged resolution because Johnson was not doing it while our border was being invaded. And I told him I was going to force the vote every week until Republicans finally did the right thing and impeached Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Alexandro Mayorkas. My articles of impeachment passed the House on Feb 13, 2024 with a vote count of 214-213. So if you won’t be like me, are you saying you will never go against leadership and fight like hell to do the right thing? My final vote in the House was on my own bill, Protect Children’s Innocence Act that criminalizes sex changes on minors under 18 and it amazingly passed the House even though 4 Republicans voted against it because 3 Democrats voted for it. And the only reason my bill finally got a floor vote is because I had been fighting leadership for months demanding a floor vote, even to the point I negotiated my vote on the CR and I refused to vote for the rule to move forward the NDAA(which I voted no on final passage) in order schedule my bill, Protect Children’s Innocence Act for the vote that finally happened last week! So if you are saying you won’t be like me, are you saying you will just be a party “yes man” and never go against leadership in order to fight to protect kids? I never voted to fund foreign wars and have been the leading voice against sending Americans hard earned tax dollars to Israel, Ukraine, and many other foreign countries. So if you are saying you won’t be like me, are you saying you are going to vote to fund foreign wars? I never took AIPAC money and nearly all of my donations were from small dollar donors. So if you aren’t going to be like me, are you going to be bought and paid for by AIPAC and other Washington lobby’s? In 2020, I ran against 8 well qualified men and beat them all without a Trump endorsement because I ran for Congress to represent the people of Georgia’s 14th district, NOT the Washington Swamp, NOT a foreign country, and NOT to be a “yes man.” If you are going to run to replace me, you better run for the people, telling them how YOU will REPRESENT them, NOT how you will bow in loyalty to the WH and Republican leadership. The race is about YOU, not ME, and the job title is Representative of the People, not yourself or the President or the Republican Party.
