@diminutiverowdy @wonko42 @qldhealth Will they actually still though? If they’re dialling back the contact tracing, and the change in deemed ‘close contacts’, will we still get notified of casual and low risk contacts via the check in app?
English

@PHagenda @DylangerDaly @qldhealth What are the benefits of checking in everywhere if they’re no longer tracing?
English

@DylangerDaly @qldhealth Contact tracing is no longer feasible/helpful beyond a certain threshold in a pandemic - but indeed the QLD CHO stated several days ago they had already begun reducing contact tracing. List won't be comprehensive- do all in your power to mitigate your risk 🙏

I calculate just 30-35% of Australians have symptomatic protection from Omicron based on UK study & Australian data. Boosters 3 months after 2nd dose & free rapid antigen tests are essential. Everybody can reduce spread with masks & avoiding indoor crowds. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/upl…

@PlayContra And yet, people still think this is a ruse for the government to control us 🤪

@9NewsMelb @Eliza_Rugg9 The issue with the political statements are the use of ‘mandatory’. It is a ‘condition’ of employment.

A teacher and her husband are going to trial in the Supreme Court, fighting the vaccine mandate that will soon be enforced in Victorian schools.
The couple claims that being forced to get a jab to remain in the classroom is a breach of their human rights. @eliza_rugg9 #9News

@UncleTobys @JoshDMcK Has anyone managed to find an image of these in the virtual universe?
English

@JoshDMcK Good to hear you enjoyed them, unfortunately we have no plans to re-introduce Choc Dot Krispies right now, but you never know…

@frangipani_5 @AnnastaciaMP Update, finally received negative result at 12:30 AM this morning. Hopefully they’re managing to get through results quick enough to mitigate any flight risks.
English

@frangipani_5 @AnnastaciaMP I’m awaiting an urgently flagged test and it’s now been over 84 hours (4 days) so I can only imagine there’s a huge backlog. It’s misrepresentation saying that 12,000 tests done overnight have returned zero cases, in my opinion.
English

Zero COVID-19 cases recorded after nearly 12,000 tests overnight.
It's positive news, but we're not out of the woods yet.
If we all do the right thing, we can prevent outbreaks and focus on Queensland’s plan for jobs and the economy.
