so apparently german men who could be drafted for the military have to ask the state for permission now if they want to leave the country for more than 3 months (which includes me when i go to korea next year). so this is actually horrifying 👍

@amitypinks unfortunately the law about drafting only got "paused" in the 2000s so it could just be reinstated with a simple majority (otherwise introducing such a law would've taken a 2/3 majority in parliament)
