@PrestonPysh You've been very helpful in my understanding about Bitcoin and related topics. Thank you! That being said, relationships last forever - I wish you well with your renewed focus on them. Put Christ at the center of your lives. He is worth following.

A personal note. After years of public discussion/work: the podcast, social media, venture capital, everything — I'm stepping back to focus on my family.
My kids are growing fast. My wife deserves the best of me. To everyone who listened, read, grew, and built alongside me — thank you. What a blessing you all have been!

Gay surrogacy and gay adoption are predicated on the idea that gay men (or women) have a “right” to become parents. This idea is not only morally insane but also logically incoherent. It’s exactly like jumping off a building and claiming that you have the right to fly. Nobody has the right to defy the laws of nature. Where would such a right even originate? Two men cannot be parents. It’s impossible. Doesn’t matter how they feel or what they want. It cannot be. The only “right” at issue here is the right of the child. And the child has a right to be raised by a mother and a father, not two men masquerading as mother and father.

@jackmallers Congrats. For this reason a man shall leave his mother and father. Marriage is one of the best gifts from God! Enjoy!

@Los_Beavs @BeavBlammy2 Not really. Yeah, having someone hurt is bad. Having a crucial player who plays every game will hurt the whole team worse than someone who doesn't and can take time to recover without impacting the play.
It's a rational question.
English

@BeavBlammy2 The fact you asked the first part is gross. Doesn’t matter. Kid is hurt. Pray for the kid please.

Spot on analysis from my POV as well. Not as good hitting as last year, but they have gotten better and in a way seem more disciplined at the plate than last year.
Pitching is as good as it gets. Wow. Dorman giving reps to the inexperienced guys, like Kmatz today, has driven me nuts... but the fruit speaks for itself.
And, a staple of Canham's squads - the fielding is top notch. If we can get a top 8, could be a good ride.
English

I have said 2-1 in the last three games with Oregon/USC, no series losses (mostly sweeps needed), and near perfection in the midweek is what we need to give us a chance for a top 8 national seed. With no high end series wins to lean on resume wise, it'll be close. Barring a disaster we should confidently host a regional, I would just love hosting a super in a pitcher friendly park like Goss. This team has done exactly what is needed so far. They beat USC and have swept every weekend series, with only one blemish against UW. Pitching and fielding plays in the post season. I get old school gritty Pat Casey vibes to this team before he turned the program into a pro farm system of elite talent. Even though we don't have the most impressive hitting numbers, everyone in the lineup is still a good fundamental ball player that gives you good reps. They keep getting better as the year goes on. I'm not connected to the team personally so I don't know for sure, but it seems like a high character group of guys. They feel not just Omaha to me, but like a sleeper dangerous team to make a run on the title series with that pitching depth. Anything can happen in baseball, but I'm riding real high right now. Go Beavs! 🦫

Trump and Iran WILL accept some form of ceasefire/delay tonight, and WILL end the war this month.
Here's why...
What most people don't realize, but the markets know very well: Trump has no choice but to end this war very soon
Simple reason: 'It's the economy stupid'
Trump is not 'insane', as some are saying. He went too far with his posts, but he did the same with Greenland, and with Canada, to name a few
The Trump posting right now is the same Trump that tried hard to end the war in Ukraine, 'ended' the Gaza war (in theory), and credits himself with ending many other wars
The Iran war is a tragic miscalculation: Was meant to be a Venezuela 2.0, but failed miserably
Since then, Trump has abandoned all his initial objectives: Regime change, regime modification, controlling the Strait
When he realized and accepted this new reality, Iran realized how much leverage they have by controlling the Strait of Hormuz, and they weren't gonna let that go unless they get concessions that make up for the massive destruction they faced
But here's the reality: Iran doesn't want to keep getting bombed, and Trump doesn't want to crash the global economy
Both parties want to end the war as soon as possible. They are currently going through a process in which each side realizes how much (or little) leverage they have, and what concession they need to make.
Pakistan's request for a 2-week ceasefire likely came at Trump's request, with Iran hinting they will accept it.
The ceasefire decision has already been made by both sides, and we will know about it shortly.
And in relation to the war, I expect the war to end this month.
Both Iran and Trump, no matter what you think of them, are rational actors

@nORthwestBEAV Still can't escape the Portland/Salem/Eugene shadow unfortunately. Beautiful other than that.

Easter is a celebration of Resurrection.
The story of Christ is the archetypal pattern.
You must constantly die to who you are to be born anew.
To step into the unknown, you must release the known.
To grow wise, you must alchemize your pain into progress.
This is the essence of all growth—learning, adaptation, innovation, self-development—and therefore, the process of civilization itself.
To use a modern metaphor: the story of Christ installed a moral software update into the human operating system.
Centuries later, the principles of life, liberty, and property were codified according to this "software update."
The individual emerged as the primary social, legal, and moral unit.
Christ made possible a world where even a victorious general like George Washington would refuse a crown.
Christ inspired George Washington to put the interests of humanity above the direct financial interests of his own bloodline.
From this lineage came the greatest economic expansion in history—a world of private property, free exchange, and relentless innovation.
From this flowed:
the steam engine,
the telegraph,
electricity,
the telephone,
the light bulb,
the airplane,
the automobile,
the computer,
the microchip,
the internet,
the smartphone,
Bitcoin, and
artificial intelligence.
That's right: without the story of Christ you would not be reading these words on your screen right now.
None of this is meant to reduce Christ in any way, but rather to emphasize the inexhaustible depths of His Resurrection story.
So rise up, young king—
by kneeling to Christ the King. Paradoxical as it may seem, there is no other way.
Happy Easter Sunday.
Stay strong, brothers.

@SSN_Pac12 Goal should be Top 5 conference
--> No more MW schools, or we only solidify our G6 placement
--> Right now we are competing with AAC, keeping PAC in G6 convos. We need to raid the AAC to weaken it and jump us up.
