He says, “The entire hall is filled with results… there are around 20 such halls and more than 12,000 students have been selected. Today the Bihar Police results were announced, and all these halls are full of successful candidates. Many students informed us that they have cleared the exam. We come from farming families; some have fathers who drive rickshaws. One student’s father sells clothes and bedsheets on a cycle. Another used to make bangles in a shop. Today their results have come. We are personally distributing uniforms to them. As a teacher, it gives great joy. Reportedly, someone suggested to take Sharad Pawar in NDA in such case.

While crude oil prices remain low globally, the Centre continues to loot people through excessive fuel taxes and has collected nearly ₹43 lakh crore from petrol and diesel over the last 12 years. LPG cylinder prices and essential commodity rates are also skyrocketing, making life difficult for middle class families, workers and small businesses.
Today, along with AICC General Secretary Shri @rssurjewala and Chief Minister Shri @siddaramaiah, we strongly condemned this anti-people price rise at a joint press conference in KPCC. While the BJP gives the nation inflation and hardship, Congress stands with people through guarantee schemes that protect every household.
We will launch massive protests across Karnataka on May 30 against the Centre’s continuous assault on common citizens.

ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ - ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಇಂಧನಗಳ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ಇಂದು ಕೆಪಿಸಿಸಿ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಐಸಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರಣದೀಪ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಸುರ್ಜೆವಾಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜಂಟಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮೋದಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾವು ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಲು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಾವು ಈ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡದೇ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಈ ಭೀಕರ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಜನರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದು ಊಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಅರ್ಧದಷ್ಟು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ಗಳು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಹೋಗಿವೆ. ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಇಂದು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರ ಬದುಕು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಷ್ಟಕರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ 12 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮೋದಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಮೇಲಿನ ತೆರಿಗೆ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲೇ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ 43 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಜನರ ಜೇಬಿನಿಂದ ಕಲೆಕ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಮೇ 26, 2014ರಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಯುಪಿಎ ಆಡಳಿತವಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪ್ರತಿ ಲೀಟರ್ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಬೆಲೆ 71.41 ರೂ. ಹಾಗೂ ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಬೆಲೆ 56.71 ರೂ. ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು ಮೋದಿ ಆಡಳಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಬೆಲೆ 110 ರೂ. ಮತ್ತು ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಬೆಲೆ 98 ರೂ. ದಾಟಿದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಕಳೆದ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋದಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡೀಸೆಲ್ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಲೀಟರ್ಗೆ ಬರೋಬ್ಬರಿ 7.50 ರೂಪಾಯಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಏರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಉಳಿತಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾನ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. "ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಇಂಧನದ ಮೇಲಿನ ತೆರಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು" ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಕೆಲ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಮೊದಲು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದವರು ಬೆಲೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಮಗೆ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸರಿ? ಇಂದು ಅಡುಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಬೆಲೆಯೂ ಸಹ ಗಗನಕ್ಕೇರಿದೆ. ಈ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮೇ 30ರಂದು ನಾವು ಪ್ರತಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಬೃಹತ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆನಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಜನರೇ ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತೊಗೆಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಜನರಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದೇ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜನರ ಲೂಟಿ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲು ಈ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರದಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತೊಗೆಯಲೇಬೇಕು. ಇಂದು ಜನರ ಆದಾಯ ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಗತ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಬೆಲೆಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಗಗನಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿವೆ. #PriceHike | #Petrol

I hear a lot of people saying Vijay is a new CM and he needs time to understand and learn. When Annadurai took oath in 1967, he was a brand new CM too. So were Karunanidhi, MGR and Jayalalithaa. Did anyone give them 6 months to learn? They hit the ground running. Because they had good advisors who understood governance. The current CM's advisors know zilch about politics, let alone about governance. I'm really worried for my state.
