They won’t ever make new music together again. They won’t ever stand on stage as Arashi again. But. Arashi will remain. It is not broken. It doesn’t cease to exist. They’re still there. They’ll still be there. Because 5-1=0. Because Arashi is forever.

Word choice is important. In May 2026, Arashi is not disbanding; they are ceasing activities as a group. For some, those two are interchangeable and mean the same thing. To me, the latter is more kind, more thoughtful.

I thought that giving it a day or so would help me sort out my emotions… but I still don’t know how to explain these feelings. I grew up with Arashi. They were a part of my every day for over two decades.
