@Hazmatman6 Ha ha - Played at the Portland a couple of times.
I'm not surprised it was too loud - just Matt's cymbals would be too loud for the size of it!
@amplifierband A few years ago i saw you play at the Portman Arms in Cambridge...it was the loudest thing i have ever heard, my friends wife walked out and I kept falling over for days....any plans to revisit?
The next Amplifier record is scheduled for May 2022.
So in the meantime this will work for you courtesy of Bandcamp Friday ...

#np@amplifierband - Amplifier.
Their totally stunning debut album. Only bettered by one of their subsequent releases to my ears. /SO/ glad I have this lossless version from BandCamp to listen to while I wait on the new vinyl to be pressed.
@chapplejc The bass was pretty thunderous.
Gotta have the low end!
Grand Volume - Those guys were awesome - everyone i that band moved into a professional life eventually.
Aeons ago, I saw @amplifierband for the first time. It was one of my first gigs, Southampton I think. I emerged nauseous after hours stood in front of the bass stacks. These guys supported – no idea what became of GV, but this song takes me back every time youtube.com/watch?v=SjQXRS…
If you enjoy watching Yellow Submarine while drinking Tequila - this video for "Seagull" from my debut album "Swell" is for you...

@chrisdomico Thanks man - in fairness it's an ep we had lying around from 2004 - didn't get much love at the time.
Figured it was a good time to get it out while we're all on downtime...
