As a society, we have accepted violence from men. “Ladke aise hi hote hai” kyu bhai? Why should we not have high standards from men? Why can’t we expect them to love and respect women? To make sacrifices for them? We need to start holding men to higher standards. The bare minimum expectation of “oh at least he’s not an abuser” needs to go. If boys will be boys, where are the men?
