Do not let the Shaytan beat you twice. If you fall short in one act of worship, strive to excel in another. If your day did not bring you closer to Allah, modify your actions for the next one.

Fear of a bad ending Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Sufyān al-Thawrī, may Allāh have mercy on him, once cried a whole night until the morning, so in the morning he was asked if his cry was due to the fear of sins. He picked hay from the ground and said: ‘Sins are lighter than this hay, I only cried out of fear of the bad ending.’ Ibn al-Qayyim said: “And this is the peak of Fīqh (knowledge and understanding) that a man fears that his sins let him down at the time of death and that they come between him and the good ending.” [al-Dāaʾ wa al-Dawāʾ | 390]

Fudayl ibn lyad رحمه الله said, “You must persist in gratitude for blessings for rarely does a blessing that departs from a people return to them." [Minhaj al Qasidin 1/291]

Sufyān al-Thawri رحمه الله said: “Tears are a mercy—if they come from a heart that is alive.” [Hilyat al-Awliya' (7/35)]

love how every human you meet in your lifetime has a perspective of you which is exclusive to them. hence the possibility of infinite versions of a single you is fascinating.

I love when I'm reading a book and I find pieces of myself in a particular character, or when I come across a line that resonates so well, it's almost as if it were written solely for me.

As a quiet person, I’ve learned to give grace to other quiet/introverted people. It surprises me how often people assume the worst in response to you just existing in your natural state. “Rude,” “arrogant,” “standoffish,” etc. Haba. Calm down, I’m just in my own head a lot.
