My first 3D print of course is a Panther Paw! 🐾 Now to print bags of science manipulatives for teachers to check out from our library! So excited! 😆

It’s been a long process however SHES is now 3D printing! Thank you to the SHES PTO, our tech Miguel, @tweetcpalms @SHESPRINCIPAL the kids already asking what’s printing and making designs! We will be first creating a tangible library of resources our teachers can checkout !

In small group today we get playdoh pieces for participating in boring comprehension work. The more they read and participate the more pieces of playdoh they get! 2 minutes of playdoh time is worth the 18 minutes of engagement I get.

This is why I teach. I got THE BEST visit from someone amazing today! How did she know I missed her so much???

The more they participate the more turns they get for game time the last 2 minutes of small group. They love coming to small group and everyday ask what games we will be playing. Yesterday we played beanboozled. The 2 minutes of my time is completely worth the 18 minutes focus

Today in small group we are highlighting main ideas and details, we are also playing this simple frog hop game. I play games everyday with my small groups to motivate them to participate in small group.

More than half of my students this past week improved their progress monitoring and are reading more words than they were last week. My students are my champions. They inspire me to overcome my own challenges everyday!

@AllisonSparkman I always forget it’s twistee treat night! We need to work on making this more public! I passed by Twistee Treat once today and even pretended to be working at Twistee Treat in small group today to practice sight words and I still didn’t know it was Twistee Treat night

Today at dismissal walking got at least 5 hugs and countless smiles and waves all within a few minutes from kids genuinely happy to see me. This week I played connect four at least 20 times, watermelon smash, headbands. I love my job! Teaching is seriously the best job!

This year I started asking my 4 year old “What did you do that was fun at school today?” So far this week she has told me about playing with her class hamster and making a “self portrait”. I’m going to ask the same question every day this year!

Today I put into a box my fear of having too much fun while learning, that it would draw away from the important standards by which my students and I are judged by. To ensure my fear stays in the box I’m going to look into what engagement really means in the next few weeks.
