I really couldn’t stand you on the Hills but I’m sure you were playing your character! I adore what you are doing and when elected! If you can get at least 1 thing done you’ve proposed that would be fantastic! I absolutely love the plan for the homeless addicts! It’s so sad and they just make it worse! 💜💜💜

If that addict on your street were your own son, what would you do? That is the defining question that guides my 5 step plan to fix the homelessness problem in LA. We *must* end this evil racket of corrupt politicians and NGOs who profit off the misery of these poor souls. They launder money and feed them more drugs, so they can keep their customers locked in this hell on our streets. We have a moral obligation from God to help them and make our city safe and clean for everyone. Karen Bass and Nithya Raman have forsaken this city. Time for real leadership. Time for real compassion.

MacArthur Park Update: Christopher Barret Johnson, a 42-year-old Culver City resident who works for the nonprofit People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), which distributes syringes to drug users at L.A.’s MacArthur Park and elsewhere, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. On May 5, law enforcement pulled Johnson over near MacArthur Park after he abruptly made a U-turn in front of them in his BMW. LAPD officers saw methamphetamine in a plastic baggie in plain view in Johnson’s car. Additional searches of Johnson’s person and his BMW resulted in the seizure of at least 142 grams of fentanyl and nearly 46 grams of methamphetamine. If convicted, Johnson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a maximum of 40 years. His initial appearance is expected tomorrow afternoon at the Roybal Federal Building in DTLA. Residents and businesses in MacArthur Park and elsewhere have long complained about the wisdom of distributing syringes to homeless drug addicts where law-abiding citizens live and work. They call these policies “harm reduction.” I consider them “harm enabling.” Giving drug-addicted users needles to shoot up meth and fentanyl is never a good idea.

Don’t vote for the person. Vote for the policy. Compare my policies on homelessness to theirs: PRATT: -Mandatory drug treatment -Send home addicts who were bussed in from out of state -Enforce the law BASS & RAMAN -Put addicts in overpriced housing and let them do drugs next to your kids’ school -Give methheads free pipes -Make YOU pay for new teeth for said methheads How is this even a race?

The man who went viral for carrying his corgi in a backpack is now using the same idea to help rescue dogs get noticed—toting them around to boost their chances of adoption. 📹 kittytime

I went to the shelter that Saturday with a clear plan already in place. I had picked out my dog online — a strong, handsome Pitbull mix with gentle, expressive eyes. I’d even started calling him Bruno before meeting him. In my mind, it all seemed simple. The kennel door would open, he’d come straight to me with his tail wagging, and we’d head home together. I was already picturing hikes and having a loyal companion by my side. But when the volunteer opened the gate, nothing went the way I imagined. Bruno didn’t move. No wagging tail, no excitement. He just stood there on the concrete, let out a quiet, uncertain sound, and lowered his head. Confused, I stepped closer. “Come on, buddy,” I said softly, holding out the leash. He glanced at me for a moment, then looked past me. When I followed his gaze, I saw a tiny mixed-breed puppy tucked into the corner, trying to make himself invisible. The little pup, maybe eight weeks old, was shaking. His eyes were locked on Bruno — and Bruno was watching him just as intently. That’s when it clicked. They weren’t just sharing a space. They were each other’s comfort. In a loud, overwhelming shelter full of barking dogs, they had found a sense of peace in one another. Bruno wasn’t being stubborn. He just didn’t want to leave his friend behind. Without a single sound, he made it clear — he wasn’t going anywhere alone. At that point, it didn’t feel like a choice anymore. It felt like the only thing to do. I turned to the staff, took a breath, and asked, “Is it possible to adopt both of them?” The volunteer smiled and said they had been hoping someone would. The two of them slept curled up together every night. After the paperwork was done and everything was finalized, they walked out of the shelter side by side, staying close, just like they were always meant to.

While the ground shook and fear took over, the horse didn’t run—it stood its ground. Shielding the woman with pure instinct, it chose protection over panic. In a moment of chaos, that animal showed more courage and loyalty than most ever could.
