@beckycarlzon @amykirk1234 My current job is pushing me to think more, learn more. I am feeling challenged in a positive way. I think being in a high challenge and high support requires both the leader and team members to create a safe cushioning where communication is easier and taking risks is simpler.

@Rethinking_Ed Sounds amazing. Will events be recorded for ticket holders in uncooperative timezones?

@beckycarlzon @AlexMaeseJ Always so proud to get to learn from and with you! (Also I’m definitely think, think, do - then probably think about what I did for a while 😊)

“Thankfully, the idea that teachers just work 8.30am-3.30pm has been exploded once and for all.” How do you feel about this statement? I don’t think the increasingly untenable hours and workloads expected of teachers is cause for thanks…but perhaps I am being overly cynical?

Failure, in my opinion, is one of the most important experiences we can provide students. That goes double for our highest achievers who may not be accessing this crucial experience regularly elsewhere.

Schools rarely teach history well, if they teach it at all. And we can't make sense of the present unless we understand the past. What teachers need is a simple but powerful framework--like the @4qmTeaching method. Now on Minding the Gap: nataliewexler.substack.com/p/want-kids-to…

Why do we feel compelled to push ourselves to 100% capacity 100% of the time? Something I am certainly guilty of… smh.com.au/lifestyle/heal…

I wrote this blogpost about a year ago but in such uncertain times, I think this is more important than ever. What do you think is at the heart of impactful learning like the #learningpowerapproach?
