@jazzy33ca @youngfonz This is also part of the reason I tend not to be super gender-conforming. But to be inclusive, we need to either allow that camera to be off or give people paid time to get ready. We're remote because we DON'T need to constantly see each other.

@jazzy33ca @youngfonz Being "camera ready" is also a HUGE male privilege people take for granted. If some women went on camera without their usual hair and makeup or cleaning routine, people would assume they're not well. For men, it's more "he must be really busy".

Somebody said not having your camera on in a meeting is disrespectful? I disagree. What do yall think?
