@WeRTottenhamTV Spurs are literally the most sustainability run club in the premier league. Fucking tosh... Yes he was without Madison, Solanke and Kulusevski early on, but he chose to play shite football, overwork key players and play the worst football I've seen as a spurs fan of 40+ years...

So the article claims: Spurs fans are impatient and cruel for expecting to not be in a relegation battle. Spurs are not run as well as Brentford (fair point) Having 11 players injured was the reason he played defensively (we were defensive from day one) He was realistic and pragmatic for his style of play. Proved his detractors wrong by beating by finishing 4th in the CL despite beating 4 of the bottom 6 Proved in the super cup his football in entertaining despite scoring from 2 set-pieces and playing a team with no pre-season.

I voted against the assisted dying bill, not out of a lack of compassion but because I fear that the law will widen in scope. If that happens, the right to die may become the obligation to die.

I know I’m not a Spurs fan but I think Tim Sherwood is spot on here. You can’t deny that Postecoglou has a clear identity. Would it frustrate you at times? Of course but when it clicks, they’re incredibly good. You might as well strap in and go with it. x.com/OptusSport/sta…

@ben_bowman_ Just a disconnect between him and Son I thought. He looks up and sees Sonny running in, but then Son stops for the cutback and Johnson doesn't see it so crosses into the 6 yard box. Johnson changed the game for us yesterday, made us much more dangerous...

You can’t blame this on Johnson. It’s on Sonny and mainly Werner / Odobert (can’t remember who was on the pitch at the time) to get into the right areas. Ryan Mason talked about ‘Pitch Geography’, the lines on the pitch don’t move, so it’s Johnson’s responsibility to put that ball in the right area, it’s down to the other winger to get into position. Not going to happen every time of course and I get why it comes across as aimlessly smashing the ball across, but Johnson does nothing wrong here.

Dear Young People I gather that some of you are feeling a bit pissy because you can't afford your dream home out of your wages. You are being told that it's all the fault of the Baby Boomer Generation somehow. Let me clear that up for you. When you get your payslip have a look at the deductions. You'll see income tax. And another deduction called National Insurance. These are just the beginning. The money that THE GOVERNMENT takes away from you before you even SEE your wages. You'll see Council tax. And energy bills with VAT & greenscam subsidy taxes. VAT is something you'll pay on most of the things you buy. You will also pay taxes, levies & green subsidy costs on petrol and diesel fuel. You'll pay tobacco duty. Alcohol duty. And many, many other taxes. You get taxed on what you earn, taxed on what you spend, taxed on what you save & when the time comes you will get taxed on what your parents try to leave to you. Your biggest expense is government. Local, national & do not for a moment believe that you're not still paying the EU in countless little sneaky ways. And on what is all your hard-earned, easy-go money spent? Foreign aid to countries that hate us. This is partly boomerang money. A lot of it comes back to the people who send it out either through administration costs, charities or dodgy contracts. None of it comes back to YOU. QUANGOs. There are thousands of these. They exist for two main purposes. Firstly as 'employment' opportunities for the pointless parasitic bureaucrats who run them. Also for politicians who have been voted out of office but need rewarding for the service they provided to the establishment. And secondly, QUANGOs provide convenient support for whatever bogus narrative the government is trying to push. Charities. No such thing. They receive donations from the government (i.e. your taxes) & the money is spent on big salaries for board members. Any actual work done by the charity is done by volunteers for free. Civil Service. An immense bureaucracy dedicated to the pay, perks, promotions & pensions of the bureaucrats. And it just keeps getting bigger & greedier. The NHS. Another bureaucracy. A hospital is a large office building with some wards bolted on for the look of the thing. Bureaucrats include diversity, outreach, inclusion & equality staff who have absolutely nothing to do with healing the sick. Education. This is one of the worst because of the sheer volume of lies that 'teachers' are telling. Lies about the climate, about race, about history & about the rules society should follow. You can tar every government department with the same brush including the armed forces now. Bureaucracy has subsumed whatever purpose the departments originally had. Another massive expense is the consequences of importing the third world into Britain. You have been told that this is a net benefit & the nation is enjoying the wonderful benefits of a dynamic and vibrant multicultural society. That is a MASSIVE lie. One other lie you've been continually fed. The one about 'having it all'. You can't. WE earned what we have and managed to keep it despite the rapacious assaults of overtaxing political bastards because we managed our money. Money spent on the latest iPhone, another holiday in Spain, takeaway junk food every night, gym membership you don't use & designer handbags is money NOT spent on saving for a house. You are under relentless advertising pressure to have the latest, most fashionable & glitziest of so many things that you really don't need. Learn to resist. In the end all your parents can do is advise you. And this is advice that is coming from people who are NOT politicians & corporations who want all your money for as little return as possible. We don't have celebrities advertising what we say. We can't afford them because we're not the ones robbing you to pay for stuff like that. Think a little instead of automatically believing the bastards who are really stealing from you.

A once-in-a-generation pandemic has had a lasting impact on the NHS. And this is reflected in the British Social Attitudes survey results which show its impact on public satisfaction. A thread on what the stats show and what I am doing about it. 🧵

@DavidNautilus1 Disregarding the obvious unfairness and being pragmatic. Family B should be advised that they will be fined for missing 10 consecutive sessions (5 full days), so leave after school on friday and get kids back to school the following Friday afternoon session at the latest....

Family A goes on holiday in term time to Spain. This family has 3 holidays per year. Both parents are together, with decent earnings, off-setting the cost of the fine. Both are able to pay within the time period. Family A can afford holidays outside of term time. Family B goes on holiday in term time to a caravan. These children have never had a holiday. Mum and Dad are not together. One estranged parent is not involved in the holiday and unexpectedly receives a fine. This family does not have any income other than benefits. Either or both parents are unable to pay the fine and so it quickly escalates. Family B cannot afford a holiday out of term time. This is my experience of this system. This is not a judgement of family A or B. A very difficult policy to uphold when you’re working hard to support the poorest families and communities. bbc.co.uk/news/education…

@HKnight2002 @anainsin Maybe I wasn't clear. The main chicken processors in the UK operate predominantly non halal kill lines where the chickens are gassed before being killed. The suggestion that it is hard to get non halal chicken is thus incorrect. Google the 2022 FSA study - 80% gas stunned.

@HKnight2002 @anainsin This is absolute rubbish, I have worked in the industry, the vast majority of chickens that are butchered in the uk are rendered unconscious using gas before being killed. This is not a Halal practice. Either your butcher is uninformed or you have made this up yourself.

@anainsin You shouldn’t tell lies on X Sophie. You’ve done no research to return so quickly. I have that information from the mouth of my local butcher in Essex. A non halal chicken is now very hard to find in this country. You’ve also rendered your account to be hot air. Well done you.

When I only had one child, so many parents said "two is easy, it's not really that much different to having one" I can fully confirm that this is complete bollocks. I am already exhausted from minding one, it is SIGNIFICANTLY harder with two. I hate those who said otherwise.
