@karolines_quill I lose interest quickly. sometimes I do get involved with the characters, but something makes me drop it anyways. usually it's me not vibing with the writing enough to spend more time with it.

@analogbasilisk Oh how interesting! Why do you hesitate to continue? I get so involved with the characters. I just have to know what happens!

If you start a series, do you just have to finish it? (This is me!) Or are you content to read the first and move on?

one thing i want as a writer is to change people’s perception of the miscommunication trope bc it has the potential to be sooooo juicy and satisfying

the idea is not even a WIP yet and my brain already wants to change the MC's gender even if I know more people would give it a chance if I keep the MC a man. (maybe even give him a female love interest). #writing #writingcommunity #amwriting

@N8_IsWriting there's a method. makes it less chaotic? probably not. but it's there. it has been working since I started. there's a Brazilian saying that roughly translates to "don't mess with a winning team", or basically: it's working? if it is, we won't mess with it.

reading +100 books is "too much" because most people don't have time for it. if you're not reading long books all the time, two books per week is not that much. "normal" people are simply not supposed to have leasure time.

well, we do read faster because we can skip the extra, useless parts.

@N8_IsWriting the closest thing to actual organisation I have is an ideas notebook. I also started a poetry spreadsheet, but that's for possible poetry books later. I do have folders, but only in my head. so I'm chaotic but there's some kind of sense in it. at least it makes sense to me.

@analogbasilisk Hahaha well that's something! I find lists, piles and folders help! Sometimes I just feel like I'm swallowed up and get frustrated when I don't have order lol

@N8_IsWriting yeah. it's kinda neat. sometimes I try, but the only organisation I manage is keeping track of the word count. I think that makes sense.

@N8_IsWriting It's: "I'm a little bored, let's skip to the other bunch of traumatized characters". I don't have a schedule, it's just... I write what I feel like. I often go weeks or months without touching one of the projects (or years, like my real main project). You seem pretty organised.

@analogbasilisk Oh wow, how do you jump between? I have completed one novel, with sequels taking form, 2 different ideas 'mapped', and a million notes to revisit if ideas run low for future works. Plus an ongoing picture book series that's taken a back seat while I wrote my first novel.
