I remember my first semester as a direct-entry law student. I had a first-class GPA, and a coursemate, who assumed that my entire study routine consisted of what he saw on campus and the times I hung out with him, was shocked by the result. He had not only fallen short of his target, he also had a carryover in one module. He kept joking afterwards that I had deceived him, and that he would no longer base his study pattern on mine. What he did not know, and what only my wife knew, was that I stayed up almost every night studying ahead of the next class. It was a very tiring routine, because I still had to show up for 8 a.m. lectures with barely enough sleep. So, the idea that someone can turn up with a decent CGPA while being nonchalant is often based on an incomplete picture of their private discipline. I am not playing down STEM courses, but it is harder, in some ways, to please lecturers in the humanities and social sciences, partly because their expectations can be subjective and sometimes contradictory. One lecturer may tell you he wants concise answers, while another may mark you down for the same approach because he prefers detailed, expansive responses. The only way to understand each lecturer’s expectations, preferences, and marking temperament is by attending classes and paying attention. You do not have to read every day to achieve a first-class result, because what one brain can absorb in a few hours may take another person days, if not weeks, to grasp. The point is that you must establish the reading pattern that works for you. In my case, I tend to overestimate myself, believing I can compile reading materials and study them closer to the exam period, and it often works for me. But that does not mean I ignore the materials entirely or become careless. I still skim through them, follow the classes, and pay attention to what each lecturer considers important.

Here is a screenshot of my last conversation with Nafi’u Bala before he blocked me, and before I blocked him back. I told him that “News had reached me that he wanted to arbitrate with the David Mark-led faction” On that very day, I was together with members of the faction, including David Mark, Babachir Lawal, Rotimi Amaechi, and Atiku. And I told him “they also wanted to speak with him directly, but his number wasn’t going through despite several attempts to call him.” His response to me was: “Sultan, you’re crazy.” I then replied: “Well, I have held my own side of the bargain. No matter how hard I tried to make you understand, you were always steps ahead in the wrong direction. I sat with the David Mark-led faction to discuss arbitration between you and them, but you believed we were trying to lure you.” Nafi’u Bala then responded: “With this kind of behavior, nobody is going to work with you.” The reason I’m posting this screenshot is because Nafi’u Bala has been going through my Facebook page and comment sections posting screenshots of our conversations. The funny part is that he avoids posting the conversations containing the real issues that could put him in serious trouble, which I may eventually release myself. He wants a fight? Fine. Let’s do this. Like I said before, I will not sit back and allow one person to destabilize the lives and future of millions of Nigerians.

All of us are selective sinners. We choose the sins we are comfortable with and judge others for the ones we are not. You lie, but judge the cheater. You cheat, but judge the thief. You steal, but judge the addict. Everyone draws their own line and pretends they're standing on the right side of it. We all have things we quietly allow ourselves to do. Habits we excuse, choices we justify, flaws we've decided, are acceptable because they're ours. But the moment someone else does something that crosses our personal line, suddenly we're moral authorities. We point fingers at sins that make us uncomfortable while ignoring the ones we commit daily. We call others unforgivable while asking forgiveness for ourselves. The truth is, we're all standing in the same place just with different mistakes, different excuses, different blind spots. Before you judge someone else's choices, remember, someone out there is judging yours just as hard.

An Open Letter to Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode For years, both of you consistently used the disappearance of Dadiyata as a political weapon against Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. You spoke with certainty, pushed narratives aggressively, and turned a deeply sensitive matter into a daily political talking point. Whenever the issue came up, you hypocritically positioned yourselves as defenders of justice and truth. You demanded answers loudly, repeatedly, and publicly. Now the matter has resurfaced again, yet there is complete silence from both of you. No outrage, No threads, No emotional speeches, and No pressure campaigns. The obvious question is, why? If this issue was truly about justice and accountability, then your voices should still be as loud today as they were back then. But if your interest was mainly political, mainly to damage the image of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, then the current silence becomes easier to understand. Many Nigerians watched as you repeatedly weaponized this case for political attacks. And your sudden disappearance from the conversation is raising eyebrows. But silence after years of loud public accusations only invites more questions. It suggests what we know, that you are morally flexible people who talks from both sides of their mouth, it is very shameful..

With the way Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode used the Dadiyata issue to score political points, you would expect them to be at the forefront whenever the matter comes up again. Yet, not a single tweet from either of them. Probably because if the truth is revealed, what will they use to spite Mallam Nasir El-Rufai?

BREAKING: The criminal behind the travails and unlawful detention of Abubakar Malami, Amadu Sule Leda (TMDK) and Nasir El-Rufai is finally being exposed globally. Rahmaniyya has been a fraudster that has been convicted by courts in London (twice) and Dubai in the last two years. A thrice convicted fraudster is the principal witness in the phantom cases against Malami and TMDK Amadu Sule. Instead of settling his financial obligations to Malami and TMDK, he chose to be a false witness and fake whistleblower. God Forbid!! While details of Rahmaniyya’s obligations to Malami are unclear, he has been owing Amadu Leda the sum of N42bn for two cargoes of AGO that he had been paid but failed to deliver for nearly two years. He ran to the Tinubu government for protection (from payment) by lying that TMDK is a business fronting for Malam Nasir@elrufai and for financing the ADC in 2027! Based on this lie, since December 2025, Amadu Sule of TMDK has been in ICPC detention without any justification other than Rahmaniyya’s false claim. Months of investigation and coercion have produced not a scintilla linking TMDK and @elrufai or the ADC. Only a Mafia-like government of criminals uses kindred criminals as its witnesses to manufacture fake rumours and then lie under oath. Rahmaniyya cannot testify in open court in either the Malami or TMDK cases, so hiding his name and identity is the only way to present his false testimony and avoid challenging his credibility as a thrice-convicted felon. Only a criminally-minded government like the current one will recruit multiple-convicts and global criminals like Bashir Rahmaniyya to manufacture false evidence against perceived political opponents. Injustice never prevails in the end. Truth always overtakes falsehood. @IU_Wakilii @charlesaniagolu @mssalihu @B_ELRUFAI @ElrufaiBoys @HafizBayero @MuyiwaAdekeye @BashirElRufai @elrufai @DailyPostNGR @VanguardAfrica @PremiumTimesng @vanguardngrnews @ADCVanguard_ @BBC @BusinessDayNg @daily_trust @uchediala @LeadershipNGA @aonanuga1956 share.google/tj7wfWHMxN5vih…

As copied from Jaycob on Facebook. “Mal Nasir El Rufai is someone I don't know why people hate him so much, Christians emphasized and for me I refuse to join the wagon and I have my reasons. If I'm wrong I stand corrected. I've come to realise that most of the allegations leveled against El Rufai are false and are just political strategies to silence him politically. Let me talk about few allegations against El Rufai that I believe they are false: *The abduction and ki//ing of Kaduna based political critic, Dadiyata: They accused El of being behind his adoption and if you listened to El Rufai last interview with Arise TV before his was arrested, he said he only knew about him after he was abducted. He also claimed that he was told those who kidnapped him were police officers from Kano. The questions are, who were those police officers? And who sent them? Now El Rufai allies are not sleeping. They are doing everything possible within their power to vindicate him and these twin police officers are identified for ki//ing Dadiyata. Musa Kwamarawa, the SSA to Matawalle(ex-governor of zamfara)has confirmed that Dadiyata was ki//ed in his presence. He said it was Hussaini Gimba who ki//ed him. Now the government has abandoned the investigation into Dadiyata's murder cause their target, Nasir will be vindicated while some people who are dining with them in Aso Rock will be implicated. * Ki//ing of innocent people in the Southern Kaduna: a lot of people accused El Rufai of being behind it but facts showed otherwise cause El Rufai at many occasions called on the military bombard bandits and terrorists in their hideouts but they refused that if they do, they will eliminate bandits and their victims. In addition to that, if we're going to accuse El of being hiding the ki//ings in Kaduna just because he was the governor, can we also accuse Governors Babagana Zulum of being behind the ki//ings in Borno, Caleb Mutfwang if being behind the ki//ings in Plateau State and Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia of being behind the ki//ings in Benue State? If you can't accuse other governors whose states are experiencing insecurity accompanied by mass murders of their citizens of being behind it then free Nasir too“

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai once told Nigerians that Dadiyata was abducted by men of the Nigerian Police Force, and that a police officer allegedly confessed to it. That is contrary to what many people believe that he was kidnapped. Now, Musa Kamarawa says he was present when a police officer allegedly killed Dadiyata, and that he witnessed it with his own eyes. People like Femi Fani-Kayode and Reno Omokri have spent years pushing accusations in one direction, they made the innocent a talking point to politically criticize and frame an innocent man. The good people of Nigeria deserve answers. At this point. What happened to Dadiyata?

FOR CLARITY: The Supreme Court ordered the ADC faction led by David Mark to return to the trial court for full determination of the substantive issues in dispute. It also set aside the preservative order that sought to maintain the status quo ante bellum, effectively removing the legal protection that had kept the earlier arrangement in place. Following this ruling, INEC is expected to relate with the David Mark led executive for now, pending the outcome of the ongoing trial at the lower court. Although the dispute is still far from concluded, this development at least brings some structure back to the party. We are not at the final destination yet, but for now, there is recognized leadership in place and the party has regained an operational framework while the legal battle continues.
