I think the industry will mature past buy backs hype. Long term revenue and revenue growth will be key drivers. Think there are very few protocols mature enough where buy backs grow revenue more efficiently then reinvesting into team/ growth.

@airtightfish Something not common here but this is what trads do often Support price, be present when cheap esp when there are capitulations, but not drive an artificial rally that is just likely to reverse and hurt price chasers. Onto something.

A worthwhile step back. Refocused on what's important and built foundations.

CEXes have always had faster execution by nature, and while Drift was already fast, traders are all about speed. Speed is opportunity and cost. Trad institutions and hedge funds spend millions to co-locate their servers near the exchange data centers - this saves them milliseconds in valuable trading time. Faster fills = better pricing, fewer stale quotes, and lower slippage. This just goes to show how important the Swift upgrade is to onboard even more traders into Drift. This closes the gap significantly vs CEX. Now traders like myself can trade on SOL faster and with better pricing, without sacrificing what makes SOL great. A great day to be a Driftoor for sure.
