On Jan. 8, VP of Student Affairs at Lincoln University (MO) Dr. Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey died by suicide due to distress from “bullying & severe mistreatment” in her role. The community is now calling for the termination of President Dr. Moseley. A thread ⬇️ #HBCUBUZZ

I’ve been working in Higher Education for almost 9 years and it’s sad to say that this type of behavior “bullying and mistreatment” really does exist not only in student vs student or student vs staff but a great deal is secretly happening staff vs staff! I’ve witnessed this firsthand and I’m telling you. It’s time to Pray and ACT! This especially hurts my heart because this is an HBCU just like my job!!!! My prayers go out to this family, this university and all who are silently experiencing this type of behavior just to keep a paycheck. TALK TO SOMEONE, TELL SOMEONE, STAND UP TO EVERYONE!!!! All I got to say is this is why I am the way I am….
