Hats off to @Doherty60 who put ONE CAN BE in a @LtlFreeLibrary in a Schererville, Indiana, park. It wasn't there for long. A dad came by, scooped it up, read it to his child, and took it home. (Kathy even got a picture!) Kathy is the author of several picture books, including THE TWIST-A-ROO. This is part of my project to have kidlit folks put a copy of ONE CAN BE (which is about Little Free Libraries) into a LFL in every state. We're four states down with 46 to go! With a broken heart, I share that our beloved Gordito has crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. 🌈 I got to hold him in my arms as he passed. He was the kindest and bravest cat that has been by my side for 17 years. And although I’m completely heartbroken 💔 , I know he suffers no more. Fly high little one! My picture book, ONE CAN BE, shares the joy of @LtlFreeLibrary boxes. To celebrate the book’s release, author friends from all 50 states will add a copy to a LFL near them, and I’ll share the photos. The state parade starts in Madison, Wisconsin at a LFL on East Mifflin Street. It’s overseen by @joshuafeyen, who writes blogs, essays and memoir and has had a tiny love story published in the @nytimes.
