@ReaganFaerwyn I got one yesterday telling me they liked the elements but not enough to champion it. Then they ended by telling me they know I’ll see success in my publishing journey. Ugh!!!! This was from a query I sent a month ago. I’ve revised the pkg 3 X so maybe this one will go well.

And another rejection. This time, it matched the form rejections people posted in comments, EXCEPT the agent removed the "although it has many positives" and "someone else may feel differently" lines. Feels like they just told me I suck. #writingcommunity #amquerying #QUEERying

@AvesBooks @NanribetCornel1 @EvernightTeen What about if the protagonist is an adult psychotherapist but her client is a 17yo teen. She has POV time but it is an adult supernatural thriller that focuses on mental health issues.

@ebthornwriter I think it depends on the person. Some well known authors receive 80-100 rejections from agents before pursuing other avenues. Some throw in the towel after 10 rejections.

How many queries do people typically send out before shelving the manuscript/self publishing/deciding to go down a different route? For curiosity's sake. #WritingCommunity #amquerying
