This man is the reason I graduated from KU. RIP Scooter ❤️💙
Kansas Jayhawks@KUAthletics
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the passing of Dr. Scott “Scooter” Ward. Scooter gave more than 30 years of his life to KU and impacted countless lives in profound ways. We are all better because we knew Scooter. Our love and prayers go to his wife, Robin, and all of his loved ones. 🔗→ bit.ly/KU-Scooter

@braxtonproper @NUCLRGOLF 🙋♂️I took responsibility. Small bathroom window. Stopped, gave my info. Wife was mad, husband was cool. Came back later with💵he joked about having a🍺ready next time through. I told him he’d better have a few cases. my home course. Not sure why owning your mistake is a bad thing
English

@NUCLRGOLF I'd honestly like to know if anyone in this X golf community has ever been 'held responsible' for a bad shot damaging someone's property. Please post your story if you have 👍. I haven't seen it happen.

@paulwood79 Great insight Paul. Love my fetch for the long line AND the retriever part.

@Therapy_Notes Printed it in a book I made of about a thousand photos of him.

My good boy would have 15 today. I wrote an obit for him when he passed because I'm extra:
Ernie Luttrell passed on Nov. 13, 2023. He was 13 years old, 43 pounds, and an avid fan of bacon, eggs and belly rubs.
Ernie was a mutt but a veterinarian once said he was a cattle dog/labrador mix, which was the guess of pretty much anyone who had seen a cattle dog or a lab.
The runt was adopted in October of 2010, where he went home with Brad and Mary Margaret Luttrell just days after they had returned from their honeymoon and right after they moved into their first home.
The young dog loved nothing more than a Saturday morning and the smell of bacon, long hikes in the Red River Gorge or Tom Sawyer Park, neighborhood walks with his mom, and a good afternoon protecting his backyard from squirrel or rabbit invasions. After a long, active day, he could be found laying at the foot of the couch, waiting for mom or dad to pet him with a hand or foot, whichever was in reach.
Ernie was the sun his dad revolved around for 5 years until the family’s first human baby was born. Ernie was stressed at first with the change during his mom’s pregnancy, but he quickly fell into his new roll of big brother. Just as he’d laid by his parents side for years, he began to play parallel with the baby on the floor. Ernie went on to welcome 2 more babies.
He was a loyal protector to not only his siblings, but all of his friends. Several unsuspecting kids trying to retrieve a baseball by jumping his fence found out he was not kidding when he had barked orders to keep out, as Ernie chased them back over the fence. He also did his best to protect his dad’s office from the guy in the brown shirt dropping large, strange-smelling boxes at the door. (Ernie was no longer allowed downstairs during mail drops after an incident).
Anyone who ever visited Ernie knows he was unashamed in his begging for head pats. If you didn’t hear him walk in, you’d know he was there soon enough when he moved your hand onto his head.
Ernie was at his dad’s feet when Brad founded his company, GoWild and he attended the company’s first founder meetings. For five years, he came to work with dad, stopping by each office to welcome everyone to a good day—and to maximize his head pats. He was known to bring comical relief to intense meetings with a fart or snoring.
Ernie was a loyal friend.
He was family.
He greeted each of the Luttrell’s 3 kids when they came home.
He laid at everyone’s feet when they were sick.
And he excelled at giving you a lick just when you needed it most.
Ernie was full of life until the end, when a complicated ACL injury & a battle with vestibular syndrome became too much for a good ol’ dog. His final days were spent in the backyard, soaking in the good smells, belly rubs & head pats with family.
The family requests that anyone considering a pet visit their local animal shelter. You get a lot of good days with an adopted dog. And one bad one.
Rest in peace, Ernie. ❤️

Farewell to:
The reason I love and play this game (golf).
The reason I didn't completely suck at baseball (despite having no real ability at all).
The reason, in so many ways, I am who I am today (except tall, you get no credit for tall).
Great round dad, see you on the next tee box (or if you insist, the great baseball diamond in the sky)...

Do you actually need to carry 14 clubs?
Cold, hard data could say otherwise 👀
