CBC Radio Noon has said ‘record breaking snowfall’ about 8 times, mainly speaking of Nova Scotia, but has not said what the record is, (total snowfall, length of snowfall, amount over specific time?). Anyone know?
@JayScotland
Merry Christmas Eve!! Day 24 is Pit Caribou La Bonnie Aventure amber beer. The perfect way to relax after an afternoon hosting the Bartlett clan, then clean up, some prep for tomorrow, checking out the Christmas jammies for the kids (youngest is 21!) almost Grinch TV time!
Dec 23td already! Tree is fully trimmed, gifts are starting to appear as well, with Propeller Smoked Spark Wheat Ale in the glass. First Smoked beer for me, definitely taste the smokiness and like the uniqueness. Well done Propeller! @chargers seem to have some spark tonight too
On Day 22 Santa decided to make a claim on one of my beer - Dartmouth’s North Brewing B.Y.O.B. Santa is acting like he brought it, but there’s no damn way he is going to take my……hold on….it’s light beer?
Yeah, go ahead. Fill your boots.
Late post on Day 21 with Boreale Malt Lager with daughter Kate after picking her up at airport. Back home for Christmas after being away at school since September. Great to have her home!
Day 20 is @HalfCutBrewing Charlie Horse Kolsch. As lead up to XMas Eve - good time to remember good ole Mr. Potter from It’s A Wonderful Life. He’s got a bad rap for being a hard worker who overcame some physical obstacles. That serial killer of a butler gives me the willies tho
Phase 2 of tree trimming complete with lights and beads installed, with phase 3 decorations still to come. Charlevoix P’tite Tranquille Nano Red IPL co-piloted the job. Slow and steady wins the race.
Day 18 La Barberie Ogunquit 3000 New England IPA, named after Ogunquit ME? Hard to say, lots of Ogunquit’s likely. The Google says the Abenaki tribe called this area Ogunquit as it means “beautiful place by the sea”. I’d like say Ogunquit again in this post a couple of times. Ogu
Day 17 is Noctem Artisans Brewery Old School Double IPA. Not the usual after hockey beer (Coors Light) but a treat to have with @lencurrie who backstopped us to a 6-3 win. 12-1-1 heading into the break - not too shabby, especially when we are playing youngsters like @24_cam_39
Day 16 is for bringing in the tree, straighten, let branches settle, & drink Boreale Scotch Ale du Nord. Strong seasonal beer at 7.5% perfect for resting before tackling the tree tomorrow. Speaking of tackling, 3 NFL games today. Guy’s gotta have a short memory…
Day 15 is Dieu du Ciel! Petite Morale, which translates into very little morals, hence the pussy cat on the can. As we know, all cats are lying thieves who’d sell your soul for a nickel.
Other than that, good beer.
