After around 50 days in Iran, covering the war and later ceasefire, it’s time for some rest. Leaving the country behind in the midst of “no war no peace” stalemate, anticipation of something that is to come, Trump’s Godot. I’m not sure when I’ll be back and how, but quite certain there’s not yet a closure to the conflict. I hope I was useful during these weeks of coverage. Video from my ride to the airport.

After Israel struck a car in front of her, killing two people, Amal Khalil and her colleague Zeinab Faraj, took shelter in a nearby building. Israel “specifically targeted the home where they took refuge.” Zeinab was injured but survived the strike, Amal was killed.
Lebanese Red Cross arrived to rescue Amal and Khalil and others, but an Israeli drone dropped a grenade on the medics, and fired at their ambulance, forcing them to withdraw for hours.

Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found dead after hours of searching under rubble. She was killed in an Israeli strike, after the Israeli army fired at ambulances trying to reach her, delaying her rescue. She is the fourth journalist killed by Israel while in the field since 2 March. She was a professional, kind and dedicated journalist, and always a pleasure to run into in the field.

According to Iranian sources, Tehran’s delegation in Islamabad appears deliberately structured as more than a diplomatic mission: alongside FM Araghchi are Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, SNSC-defense heavyweight Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Central Bank Governor Hemmati, plus security, military, legal and parliamentary figures.

Heard FM Aragchi’s interview w state TV. My impression is that Iran’s still keeping bridges with the U.S., Him saying “this war is not our war, nor is it America's war. It was Israel that pushed the United States into it.” Rejecting the 15 points, offering Iran’s points, means practically Iran isn’t rejecting talks, rather looking for common grounds with the U.S. . Next hours crucial.

Iran rejects the 15 points paper. A high-rank diplomatic source confirmed to AlJazeera that Tehran has received the US 15-point plan but described it as “extremely maximalist and unreasonable.” The source said that what has been portrayed in some media reports does not accurately reflect the substance of the proposal. “It is not beautiful even on paper,” the source added, calling the plan deceptive and misleading in its presentation.
