I’m going to DM you a free month of Claude Pro. As a technologist, I think you’ll benefit from comparing them, as they both have pros/cons. Full disclosure, I have no ties to Anthropic, but I do use multiple AI tools for different things, and if I can spot you $20 for a free month to build your skillset, that’s money well spent, my friend. 😎

So I decided to pull the trigger and spend the $20/month on ChatGPT Plus - no small sum for me ATM. But the sophistication with which the platform can now build small, highly-tailored, fully-formed apps for personal use, is just stupefying. The couple hours I spent with it, planning and iterating a couple test apps, would have cost me thousands of dollars with a human dev -- completely out of reach. So in my mind, it's less that this technology is going to replace human labor -- which, let's be fair, it surely will to some degree -- than the fact that it's endowing us with capabilities that we never would have been privy to in its absence.

@Djkeene1 The layers of this are pretty brilliant if it were true and compared to the H1B problem today: Talented person comes to the USA and does great things, but time goes by and the resulting company/greed is now detrimental by disallowing farmers to reasonably fix their own stuff.
