Year 4’s incredible Roman soldier sculptures are framed and ready to be installed in the art gallery @Lift_Lea_Forest. The children worked with clay to form the individual soldier parts, before piecing the sections together to produce the whole.

Year 3 children @mgeact have been making screen-prints based on their geography study about mountains. They have combined simple imagery and text to create these outstanding artworks, that individually look amazing, and together even better!

Year 4 children have completed their fantastic Roman soldier sculptures @MontyAcademy. The young artists worked individually to make a section of the soldier, using clay, and then collaboratively to piece them together and paint to form a whole. Here’s a sneaky peek! @MrsFNisar

Year 2 children’s beautiful ’wheels and axles’ artwork has been re-presented and re-hung on the walls @Lift_Lea_Forest today. The artwork was created using wet-felting techniques and involved the children leading their learning with colour, shape, pattern and texture decisions.

KS2 children have made a sculpture @MontyAcademy to showcase the children’s magnificent poetry. We have called it ‘Poet-Tree’. The first poems are now hanging on leaves from the sculpture, alongside the names of contemporary and historical poets trapped within tree structure.

Today’s session with Year 5 @NechellsAcademy involved the children hand-sewing directly on top of their brilliant heat-transferred images. Machine embroidery was applied by me, as directed by the young artists. More stitching next week…

Year 6 children @Lift_Lea_Forest have been painting tsunamis in response to their humanities study ‘fragile earth’. Simplifying photographic images and mixing colour are just two of the things the young artists have explored during the project, so far.
