@thecoastguy while working in Kazakhstan I saw the town had public nuclear shelters from Cold War days, something I’ve never seen in the UK. Clearly HMGov never cared about public’s survival. In army 1988 quartermaster told me the uniform was designed for 3wks, I was expected to survive 2.
All the talk of a "war footing" comes from people who will stay safe at home while other mothers' sons die far away. And while they hype nuclear war the truth is they'll never start anything that might break their windows or scratch their limos.
@JeremyClarkson That way the farm stays intact for working purposes and patriots get a stake in the strategic industry
And the gov and big corporations are stifled
@JeremyClarkson here’s an idea.
I am many other upstanding law abiding citizens would love to own a bit of “Britain” that feeds us. Farmers who are close to the cut off for the IHT could sell off 1/2 or 1 acre at a time to individual families & at peppercorn rate lease it back.
