Lars Tiffany says Virginia's equipment manager brought the team's NCAA Tournament helmets to the team's lift Tuesday. Wanted to show off the new lids. The reception was not what he expected. The players were so locked in on the ACCT they wanted nothing to do with the helmets.

Today marked Virginia's 8th ACC Championship. This puts them at second in the conference, behind UNC (9) and moving them ahead of Duke (7).

Much has been said of Jake Marek this season. But just unreal today -- .762 save%. Not his highest of the season (.800 against Drexel), but given opponent caliber, I don't think you can say any goalie performance this season was better than today.

McCabe Millon had six points today (4G, 2A). UNC had six goals.

I know it's no use to engage in hypotheticals now, but I wonder where Virginia would have been slotted if you flip the one-goal margin games against JHU, Maryland, and UNC (regular season).
