No, it’s not election time… and that’s the point. This month I’ve been back at the grassroots, doorknocking, hosting our Town Hall, catching up over coffees, and getting ready for more listening posts. I’ll keep showing up and fighting for our community.

What I heard at our Town Hall won’t stay in the room. I’m taking your ideas on roads, mental health, small business and national security straight to Canberra to shape Coalition policy. We’re focused on restoring our standard of living and protecting our way of life.

Australians are doing it tough and I hear it every day. People want to be heard and want a plan. I’m focused on listening, rebuilding trust and doing the work. With my Town Hall almost full, it’s clear locals want real answers and real action.

To end the sitting week, I was thrown out of Question Time for asking how many fuel operators the ACCC has actually held accountable. Australians are doing it tough and this Government is dodging scrutiny. I’ll keep standing up for you.

As Passover begins, I want to extend my best wishes to the Jewish community here on the Sunshine Coast and across Australia. It’s a time of reflection, resilience and hope. A reminder that even in the face of hardship, light and strength endure.

THIS IS NO APRIL FOOLS PRANK. In a cost of living crisis, Australians are tightening their belts. Labor wants to spend $620 million expanding Parliament and adding more politicians. That’s not the answer. Australians deserve better priorities.

Australians are doing it tough, so I welcome the Government finally adopting the Coalition’s fuel excise cut. But let’s be clear, this was our policy. After weeks of saying no, they’ve copied it. More action is needed to fix the fuel crisis.

Touching to co-host the Parliamentary Friends of Mental Health event at Parliament House with MIFA. Lived experience stories remind us mental health can impact anyone. Nearly 500,000 Australians are missing support. We must listen and act before crisis.

Australians are doing it tough and the fuel crisis is biting hard. Halving the fuel excise would cut around 25c a litre and deliver real relief now. On the Coast, locals are paying more or can’t get fuel at all. The Government should match it.
