The trick to not getting mad is remembering that nothing ever works. You make it work, or you don't, or it doesn't happen, because it wasn't promised it would. Lots harder to be mad when you realize this. 4. Never be on time. On time is made up, like a "I hope to be there by X time" but in reality none of that is up to you. People here don't like confrontation, so they often tell you they will come at a specific time, but no one really knows. Yes is often no. If they don't like you, it is most likely no. 5. You can infact eat tacos every day. There are breakfast tacos, speciality tacos, daily tacos, home tacos, regional tacos, etc... there is a wide variety of things you can get. All of them are delicious. 6. There is almost no fast food. Everything takes time, and most business meetings are at lunch. The only "fast" food is often actually taco shops, and things imported by foreigners (like Burger King)-- in fact, there is basically no drive through anywhere as well. You have to park and eat. 7. Breakfast is typically at like 9 or 10am, lunch places don't open till 2, and dinner isn't till typically 8pm. Yes, that is weird, I never really got used to it. But on the upside, you get to places before basically any rush. 8. The only people who complain about noise from parties are the people not invited to parties. Try to be cool enough to join. 9. Everywhere can be a party. I got stuck once on the side of the road for hours and people just came out of their cars and talked trash and played music. 10. Learn Spanish if you live here. Not only does it make things way easier, but it is also one of the best languages for trash talk and jokes. 11. Making fun of people is a part of the culture. When I was growing up, we used to have thicker skin, and there was a difference between being mean and poking fun. Most people here poke fun at basically everything and everyone. I think the world is better when we can all laugh.

Although I am Korean, I take pride in saying Mexican food is my favorite food. 🌮🌮🌮🌮 I get teased for that from my family and friends. 😅 Unfortunately taco scene in New Jersey when I live is not that great…I envy this couple so much 😭😭 🇲🇽❤️🇰🇷

California is a shithole thanks to Mexicans. I’m in the quarter slice, and any Mexican worth their salt would agree there’s too many here. Plus I hate illegals no matter who they are and there’s a lot of Mexican illegals by virtue of geography. I’m totally justified in my position.
