We need the DOI to raw data for each new PDB deposition to be a strong requirement. It is technically feasible to provide the raw data via the facility repositories, zenodo, or public repositories.

A major event will happen at the end of November as the @Panosc_eu project to make #FAIRdata reality for the PaN community in Europe draws to a close. We did a lot but there is still lots to do. I look forward to continuing building the EOSC with the @eoscassociation!

Having a community standard is a real advantage for FAIR data. This was clear at the @hdf5 user group meeting last week for those communities do not have a standard for displaying e.g. default plots.

NeXus is a community defined format for PaN (raw) data. The NeXus metadata schema summarises key messages from a survey to PaN facilities, which showed a need to further develop NeXus support at each facility & strive towards more compliance w the standard bit.ly/38KMcXA

These are becoming more and more the preferred way to publish (scienceeurope.org/our-resources/…) Open data could be seen as Diamond Access publishing.
