@BeesWax2017 @floboflo Also not really the case. We still lived in the UK but with regular visits there, was just getting the hang of it when she died. And next year is the 30th anniversary of it. Far be it from me to give anyone advice but you need to keep your witless opinions to yourself.

When Brits move to Australia for ‘a better life’ it’s worth noting that what’s actually happening is them preferring to move to the other side of the planet instead of a country in Europe and having to learn a foreign language. If they spoke German in Australia literally no Brit would move there.

@AngelaEuropean @floboflo Not my proudest moment I assure you but sometimes you don't get any warning and suddenly I found myself with a requirement to be in the middle of Belgium and then in turn southern France with nothing but distant schoolboy French (my school favoured German) on a semi regular basis

@Keir_Starmer You are certainly trying to adopt the language of the divisive. It doesn't require any 'fighting' we're a civilized country.

I will always make decisions that are in the national interest. It’s why we aren’t getting dragged into the Middle East conflict, and why we are fighting to protect your living standards. And while opposition parties have responded by dividing communities, we respond with hope and pride. Pride in our communities, and the hope of a country that’s better for our children. That’s what we’re fighting for. Vote Labour on Thursday 7 May.

Hi @BBCWorld - just checking in as you seemed to have not get my message about the largest ever march against the far right the UK has seen 👇
Harry Eccles@Heccles94

Hey @BBCNews - you seem not to have noticed the 500,000 people marching through London against the far-right, so I’m just making you aware, cheers then.

@ML3democrats It's relatively simple, they didn't want the rape of children to impede any fiscal gain they thought they might 'enjoy' from Trump's second term as president.

As a European, I really don't understand how America chose the best friend of Jeffrey Epstein twice. I really don’t.

@mrmikeMTL It came in stages as the WW2 generation reached 70 or so, about when Elvis died and/or Star Wars came out. It was gradual at first but bit by bit everything was eroded until it is as you see now. Landmarks: the millennium, the financial crash of 2008, brexit, death of the queen.

@engineers_feed ...you blow a fuse somewhere nearby. It's more interesting is if you cross connect two outlets served by two different substations. Even better if it's 3 phase That's fire, mayhem and up to five years in jail (UK)

Half a million in London today. The largest anti-far right march in British history. 56 billionaires own more than 27 million of us. They built the crisis, bankrolled the hate, and bought Reform UK. The streets belong to us - not to Farage, not to Musk, not to their money. x.com/PSCupdates/sta…

@danielhavfc @SkyNews started pushing daily rounds of 'isn't Labour doing a bad job?' literally the 2nd day after the last election. Meanwhile the BBC was searching for a 'diverse set of opinions' no matter how marginal to present as balance. Farage could never have done it without them.

The hate for Starmer is so fake and forced btw. Tories did FAR worse in those 14 years and people acting like it didn't happen.

@johnandi Would agree except for Mandelson. I think Starmer knew and it was the reason Mandelson was given the position. Part of me is horrified and partly I think it was a pragmatic move and quite clever. Considering what the world has turned out to be he's probably the best choice.
