People fundamentally dont understand the financial system. You can leverage the combined equity value of the businesses to offer say ~ $55B with ~$10B of your own combined cash and $20B debt and $25b equity as the combined entity is worth ~$65b. I wrote this article purely because I feel I HAD to. Lots of phone calls to friends complaining that no one is talking about these within reindustrialization. @noxmetals plus all of our customers require these companies over the next 10-20 years. Too many people are focused on software only or these huge tech angles and defensibility. Tech and software are extremely important but execution of capacity is far more important. These companies are extremely hard to start and do well - execution is literally everything so going to require relentless founders. But they absolutely need to exist for America to win. If you are interested in starting, joining, or funding (debt included) one of these ideas lmk.

If you focus too much on Karen Bass you miss the 4 socialists on the city council. You miss imbeciles on the County Board of Supervisors like Lindsay Horvath. You miss the destruction wrought by George Gascon while he was in office. Diagnose the problem correctly people.

CHEWY TO ACQUIRE MODERN ANIMAL Chewy has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Modern Animal, a technology-forward veterinary platform. Financial terms were not disclosed. Before the deal, the company raised $46M in its latest funding round in September 2025, led by Addition, True Ventures, and Upfront Ventures when its run rate revenue had grown 85% year over year to $100M in 2024. Founded by Steven Eidelman, Modern Animal operates 29 owned clinics and provides 24/7 virtual care through a membership model serving over 100,000 families. The platform focuses on medical excellence and human-centric care through proprietary technology. The acquisition will scale Chewy’s clinical footprint from 18 to 47 locations and is expected to add over $125M in annualized run rate revenue and be accretive to EPS within the first year. Mature clinics in the network currently deliver EBITDA margins above 20% and revenue per location at twice the industry average. Chewy projects the acquisition to be EBITDA neutral in FY2026, with positive contributions starting in FY2027. Synergies are estimated to drive a 15-20% uplift in net sales per active customer across the healthcare ecosystem. Following the agreement, Chewy authorized a $500M increase to its share repurchase program. The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
