@BlokeOnWheels Thank you Joe- I was born in Hartlepool and live in Southport. The people who came together for the vigil and those who rebuilt the streets around the mosque did so without thoughts of anything but community and to show that we are not “those people”.

I want to give a mention to the community in Southport. In their unimaginable grief, they have come together to completely reject the hateful rhetoric that has been spewed by certain individuals over the last few days and have instead focused on attempts to rebuild what the lawless thugs were so determined to destroy. That shows the true human spirit.

Currently a riot outside our mosque in Southport. More completely innocent people in our community victimised. Local police, who worked so hard yesterday, dealing w/ belligerent opportunists. Before this there was a beautiful respectful vigil. British society in microcosm.
