First-winter Caspian Gull at Hartlepool Fish Quay this afternoon (Polish ringed). What a cracker!

First winter Grey Phal at RVCP today. Mainly distant, but came close in to the main lake shore briefly, later flipping over to Meadowgate. Thanks to the finder KRG who is on a bit of a hot streak currently.

This looks pretty good to me for a male Vagrant Emperor, currently in the ditch before the hide at Skeffling re-alinnment, E.Yorks at the end if Long Lane (closwd to traffic).

Comet A3 Tsuchinshan-Atlas from Damflask Reservoir in the South Yorkshire Peak District tonight. More impressive was the Moonbow that appeared over the Reservoir to the west.

Just received details on this colour-ringed Waxwing I saw at @skagenbirdobs. Ringed in Elgin, Scotland in November 2023, then seen 500km south in Bakewell, Derbyshire in January before moving 900km to Denmark in May. Thanks Raymond Duncan/Grampian Ringing Group
