@mcleodd Congratulations, Duncan! Always nice seeing the one normally writing about acquisitions being the one getting acquired.

@Ryk_van_Niekerk I reported these ads so many times on YouTube and Facebook but they just keep coming back.

@Nedbank Thank you. Were you at least able to replicate the problem?
English

@Nedbank It appears that your Verify payment service (nedbank.co.za/content/nedban…) is not working. It always returns an error message of "something went wrong" even for legitimate payments. Please can you confirm that there is a problem?
English

@Nedbank Yes. Definitely only using the last 9 digits for the reference number (as mentioned I have used this service successfully many times before). I am sure you can replicate the problem by entering the details of a Nedbank POP yourself?
English

@Nedbank There is no private information so I can share the error message in the screenshot below. Try it for yourself with your own Nedbank POP and I suspect you will get the same error.

English

@Nedbank Yes. I double checked multiple times and tried with different POPs. There definitely appears to be an issue on Nedbank's side (I have used it many times before successfully). Take any Nedbank POP and try it yourself?

@anatnom_ynot I assume you have had a bad experience in the past. If so, I am sorry to hear that. We have beefed up our Buyer Protection Programme and also introduced a new system where pay outs to sellers are linked to shipping of orders thereby providing much greater protection for buyers.

@MageshMoodley Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Are you able to provide a support ticket number so I can get some one to follow up with you?

@Smokkelsmous @bobshopcoza You receive the R30 small order charge paid by the buyer (to be used towards the sellers R30 shipping fee) so you effectively pay zero for the shipping (and before you were charged a final order value fee on the shipping buyer's amount so you now are actually better off).
English

@andyhza how does this make any sense for your sellers on @bobshopcoza
Your fees is killing us . You reduced shipping fees for the buyers but screw the sellers over

English

To regulate or not to regulate the still fledgling ecommerce industry in South Africa? mybroadband.co.za/news/internet/…
English

@Smokkelsmous I should also mention that excluding the shipping fee, seller fees have actually decreased as there are no longer final order value fees charged on the shipping amount. Total sales increased in June and fees collected from sellers decreased.
English

@Smokkelsmous Previously, you charged buyers R110 for a courier. Now buyers would typically pay R30 and you pay R30 (for orders below R100 buyers pay the full R60 shipping). Surely, over time you can expect your buyers to increase their bid price by at least R30 due to the lower shipping?
English

@Zaheercee @bobshopcoza Sorry that you feel that way. In its simplest form the buyer pays R30 shipping, the seller pays R30 and we subsidise the balance. On average how much do you pay to send a shipment from door to door? Any suggestions on how we could have made this clearer is welcomed.
