Bizarre how some spokespeople demand — and sometimes even get away with — avoiding this most basic accountability. If information is incorrect, a specific person should be accountable. And reader should be able to verify what is published. Impossible to do without a name.

One of my favorite things about governmental spokespeople is how much they hate having their names in articles when providing a quote. Isn’t that your job? Do your paychecks just say “spokesperson”?
