Fastest time at my local parkrun since May ‘21, so fastest there in my 50’s (22.33). Not bad with only a couple of months left before a new age bracket.

Morning run. Time poor but got it done. Had a spill right near the end. Dog scared me. Just wanted a pat so I after I dusted myself I gave him a pat and finished my run. Impressed that I stopped my Garmin immediately after I fell. #milesformike

Race kit ready for Retford HM tomorrow. First race of the year and I’ve got plenty more scheduled in 🏃🏼‍♀️I’m going to be confident and trust my training, then refuel with chocolate afterwards 😂

@GoTheGrey Same. I’m not necessarily against sacking Voss, but I am a little worried that if we do it might mask more fundamental issues. Let’s face it, it’s not the 80’s it’s not about one bloke. There a phd for an organization psych in that club 😂

@andyjruns Something is fundamentally broken at Carlton. No coach since Parkin has achieved the ultimate success. And the club seems mostly content wallowing in mediocrity. I often wonder why Carlton can't get it right. I have no answers

It’s fine to sack Voss, but it won’t solve the problem. We’ll have a sugar hit of wins, then the players will revert to type. Carlton is the Bermuda Triangle for footballers where they head for their skills, judgement and confident to disappear.

@charlesdavis75 Every single time. The more time spent defining the problem the closer you are to a solution.

Step 1 is often not taught these days due to problems presented on computer screens or tablets. Writing it down does wonders for step 2 IMO.

As a side note, Voss is still the most successful coach since Parkin…..

@andyjruns Thanks mate. Pretty big day on the bike. Wasn’t 100% sure I’d get it done either so was stoked to come in an hour ahead of the cut off And of course The training and the hours that went into the prep..

So I did a thing on Sunday 235kms 4500m of climbing 1 crash (not my fault btw) A few cramps And with a cold 🤧

@andyjruns I’m stoked G has a running bug. We are doing the 10km event together at the GC marathon festival. G is worried about 10km but doing 7km with hills after a full day of school. G got no worries.

Crazy Monday. G wanted to unwind after her math study so G got a lesson in the benefits of an easy run at night. G is a chatterbox while running. We did 2km extra. Some of my fav #milesformike ever!

Almost forgot. My late lunch today was Emma’s scones (warmed up) with jam and cream (the nice cream). Reminded me of morning tea as a kid on the farm. Miss those days sometimes.

Held off buying a membership this year until I saw if the performance matched the rhetoric…. Looking like a good decision after last night #blues *as an interstate member it’s basically been a donation from the boy and I for the last 10 years
