Welp, it did happen today. My grandpa Jerry , my best friend, is gone. I am completely incapable of caring about election shit right now because I'm a wreck. WHY TODAY JERRY WHY (I hope it means Trump loses because you hated him)

My grandpa was diagnosed 2 months ago w/mesothelioma. until August he was the most fit, capable 87 yr old. The last 2 months have been hell to watch the rapid decline. He's my best friend. dr says he won't make it past today or tomorrow. goddamn jerry don't die on Election Day!

as someone who's built about 10 different live election tracking websites in my career, I've concluded: it should be illegal to share vote counts before they're completely tallied. you gain nothing but disaster by showing people early totals. thanks!
