We should add that we 'recovered' to 69 all out, which exceeded the number of sausages, but if beers are also accounted for, we still fell 17 short. For the record, we were chasing 148 runs, but that does not matter.

The worst day in our cricketing history was when we were 21-7 against Estonia in July 2023.
We realised our players had consumed more sausages in Tallinn the previous day than runs currently scored on the pitch.

When we won our first international match (50 overs) against Switzerland by 215 runs in 2018, we thought we had made the big time. We crushed a Toblerone with a truck to celebrate. Perhaps that sort of celebration deserves a run of six years without a win.
