My biggest problem with Kamala Harris is that she’s a step mom. What happens if another country attacks us and she’s stuck in a dryer??????

Finally sorted out a project that’s been in my head a while: a “Big Runs” medal hanger. The event needs to be at least 50 miles to get on this hanger so I’m quite proud it has so many medals already on it. 2 x 50 miles 2 x 52.2 miles 1 x 75 miles 3 x 10 miles 1 x 200km

@RMFifthCircuit Allow me to introduce the (civil) case of BCCI (in liquidation) v the Bank of England. The Liquidator's opening statement was 86 days (Jan to July 2004) and the BoE opened for 119 days (July 2004 to June 2005). The case collapsed in Jan 2006. bankofengland.co.uk/-/media/boe/fi…

I really do worry people have forgotten what Covid-19 was like for NHS staff. I went onto ICU wards and saw it myself. I spoke to staff broken by relentless death. @Kevin_Fong testimony @covidinquiryuk needs to be heard:

Keir Starmer is in the top 1% of earners. The idea he needs rich donors to buy expensive clothes for him and his wife to "look his best for the country" is desperate, insulting gibberish. This is a slam dunk example of the "what would you say if Boris Johnson did this?" test.

David Lammy explains that Keir Starmer accepted 'gifts' [also known as bribes] because he just wants to look his best for the country #bbclaurak

@6townsrunner Though I’m still not a massive fan of it as there are probably better choices, but if you are going to do something unpopular do it just after you win a thumping majority 🤷🏼‍♂️

@6townsrunner The problem is means testing often costs as much as you save by not making it universal. Pension credit means testing already exists so it reduces payments to millionaire pensioners without more costs of means testing. As ever the edge cases always pull the heart strings

Six months after reviewers of Teesside regeneration told Lord Houchen’s development corporation to list all the juicy deals with business partners, still hasn’t been done - conveniently preventing the renegotiation that should be happening. Details in ⁦@PrivateEyeNews⁩.

@houghhough @sbrackenborough The problem is that we now know through the royal consent exposure that the royals get to veto any laws they do not like, or at least stop them applying to the royals and their land. Their power is already greater than it should be for an unelected figurehead

But I think, in a way hard to pin down, that the monarchy protects the very things you value ... especially the avoidance of authoritarianism. A head of state not choosing power rather than someone ambitious (desperate) for it.
Clive Lewis MP@labourlewis

This week I've been called a “traitor” and “disgrace”, just for wanting to swear an oath to my constituents and democracy. I've been forced to swear allegiance to the Monarch & his successors. The confected outrage is covering up a much bigger issue. Here's what I think that is.

@tokyosexwhale Yep we have gone from a 999 for blue lights every 3-4 weeks to not administering buccalam in over 3 years. But this was only for 2.5 years, as he was allowed only 3g of carb per meal and finger pricks twice daily for monitoring blood sugar and ketone levels
